MECHVAC are pleased to announce the results of our sponsorship of the Pooraka Football Club for their Breakthrough round match on 21st August against the Salisbury Football Club. The MECHVAC guernseys worn by the players were auctioned to raise $4,400 which contributed to a total amount of $13,000 raised on the day. This contribution will ensure the club meets it’s commitment of a total fundraising effort of $25,000 which will go to the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation.
We congratulate the Pooraka Sports and Social Club (football and cricket) for such an outstanding effort to fund research into the connection between sport, community, mental health & wellbeing.
The Breakthrough Foundation is a leading research centre in the causes and treatment of mental illness as well as providing mental health first aid programs in sporting clubs throughout South Australia.
At MECHVAC, our workshop and office facility is located in Pooraka and we are therefore proud to be associated with the Bulls and their Breakthrough match.
